Class are proud to be official digital supplier to the SnowDome.

With a website this big, user experience and wire framing is essential. A wireframe is not just a blueprint, but an essential planning tool which helps us and the client decide how best to present the information. Our task was to simplify and improve the customer booking journey for The SnowDome. Before getting started, we defined user groups and the functional elements that guide them on site. This ensures the focus is on specific tasks and calls to action, making it easy to use for each audience, no matter what the journey.

In order to create a clearer eCommerce experience, we created user flows and a cleaner page structure that works across different devices. We developed a user interface kit including colour palette, typeface structure and iconography. Whilst colour is used as an effective signposting tool to draw attention to key elements, iconography helps the user identify different categories of activities through colour and line-drawn illustrations.

Once the design was approved, it was turned into an interactive prototype to test multiple user flows across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. This approach was essential in the delivery of the project as it allowed us to test both the form and functionality of the website before we started to code.

The production environment for the website was on a staging server utilising a version control system. Version control allowed us to collaborate with SnowDome’s back-end development team to track changes to code over time, which meant we could quickly step back to an earlier version where necessary and annotate changes with explanatory details. This staging environment also allows changes to be reviewed and tested before they go live. We worked closely with SnowDome’s back-end team to launch the website before their busy peak season.

“There’s a lot of web agencies out there and we’ve found in the past, the difficulty comes with finding the ones who can actually walk the walk. That’s where Chris and his team came in. Class collaborated with our existing back-end team to build and design our latest website. We are thrilled with the finished site and we continue to collaborate with them as our exclusive web agency. Class is a small team of experts, they care passionately about their work and that shines through in every member of their team. They offer a wealth of knowledge and have become a key part of our marketing function. Class is quite simply put… Class.”
