OVO energy are the second largest energy supplier in the UK and offer 100% renewable electricity. They asked Class to deliver a website that curated the latest news, expert opinion and events on the future of energy.
The newswire allows users to curate, share, and read content. Upon entering the website Ovo users are prompted to create an account and personalise content they see by selecting specific topics they wish to follow. When a user discovers relevant stories and news content they can add the article to their favourites within the account section. Users can group articles articles into lists and share these with their network.
The back-end of the website is built on WordPress CMS, which we love for its quick and easy admin tools and plug-ins. WordPress, powered by a highly active community, allows the software to be as customisable and powerful as you need it to be. With this in mind we hooked the website up to Scoop ITs content curation tool which monitors global sources to find and curate relevant third-party content.
